What does the job involve?
Working as a Warehouse Operator in our Christchurch Distribution Centre you will join a large team responsible for picking orders to keep our Countdown supermarkets stocked and our customers happy! In this physically active role you will be using voice pick technology whilst operating a motorised pallet carrier working in an environment where our customers and our team come first. You will be provided with extensive and ongoing training to ensure you leave safely after every shift, as well as a number of opportunities to grow and develop a career as part of the Countdown team.
We are looking to fill the following Shift with Warehouse Operators:
Friday 0300-1330 , Saturday 0500-1530 , Sunday 0500-1330 | 28 hours
Am I suitable?
To be successful in these positions ideally you will already have experience in a warehouse environment, you will need to have strong communication skills, a high level of physical fitness, to be reliable and be an outstanding team player. You’ll have excellent attention to detail when it comes to order accuracy and quality and will endeavor to carry out responsibilities from a health and safety perspective.
We would love it if you already had experience in a picker/packer role, or if you already hold a valid Pallet truck, Stock Picker, Reach, or Forklift license, however, if you have a passion for quality customer service, a solid work ethic and the right attitude we would love to hear from you.
You'll need the right to work in New Zealand and to be happy to complete a drug test, ACC, medical and Ministry of Justice check as part of the recruitment process.
