Job Description:

As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living with dementia in a residential care home. Spend time engaging with residents one-on-one or in small groups with conversation and/or gentle activities including simple crafts, listening to music together, reading the newspaper/magazines, walking in the garden and more.

The commitment is one hour per week for a minimum of 12 months. We would be delighted to talk with you about a suitable day and time during the week (Monday to Friday).

We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that enhance the lives of residents at HammondCare Erina. We'll provide extensive training as well as ongoing support from a local Volunteer Coordinator.

Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of Covid 19 vaccinations, complete a police background check, NDIS Worker Screening check and be prepared to have an annual influenza vaccination.
