Administration Officer - Violence Intervention Programme (VIP)

Southland Hospital, Invercargill

  • Permanent position 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week)
  • Monday - Friday

Are you looking for an interesting role in healthcare whilst maintaining a great work/life balance? Our fabulous VIP team is looking for a motivated and experienced Administration Officer to join our friendly team. This position is based at Southland Hospital but provides administrative support for the team across the Southern district.

About the team

The VIP team implement the Violence Intervention Programme (VIP) - a Ministry of Health programme - reducing harm from family violence by implementing an early intervention programme; identifying family violence and child protection in the health settings. The team are based in both the Dunedin and Invercargill sites but provide support and training for health professionals across Otago and Southland, including our trust hospitals.

About the opportunity

The position will require you to effectively contribute to the smooth running of the team by providing timely and high quality local and district wide administrative support. The role requires excellent word processing and data entry skills along with a strong eye for detail.

About you

The current salary for this position is $48,220 - $51,260 (pro-rata) per annum in accordance with the PSA South Island Administrative Employees Collective EmploymentAgreement and will be based on relevant experience and qualifications. This is inclusive of the PSA Clerical and Administrative Staff Pay Equity Interim Adjustment, made by Southern DHB on 16 April 2021.

The role is 24 hours per week and the exact days of work will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
