The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Taylor Veterinary Pratice, Cathkin!
This is ideally a full-time position in our busy, first opinion practice, however flexible and part-time applicants are also welcomed. Between Monday-Friday our vets work a mixed shift pattern, including 8-4, 11-7,
9-5, 9-7 and 1-8.30. You would work 3 Saturdays in 8 with a day off in lieu in the preceding week. We are closed on Sundays and there is no OOH. We have a large surgical caseload but are also happy to accom-modate solely consulting shifts for those who prefer to avoid operating.
About Us
Taylor Veterinary Practice is one of the oldest established small animal veterinary practices in the world. We are a 3-branch practice based on the Southside of Glasgow, ideal for either city-based living or more rural lifestyles. Our well-equipped Cathkin branch is our main hub, and our branches in East Kilbride and Clarkston are consulting only. You would work at all 3 branches.
Our 'TVP family' has an amazing team of 14 vets, both full and part
time. We encourage CPD and have 3 certificate holders in medicine and surgery, with another working towards an ophthalmology certificate. Many of the vets have individual areas of interest, which means there is always someone to offer advice on a challenging case. We have a busy surgical caseload but are happy to accommodate solely consulting shifts for those who prefer to avoid operating. We also have a fantastic team of nurses, ANA's, receptionists and an administration department. We are a very supportive, family-friendly practice with many working parents, and we are a sociable group who can promise some fun nights out.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for an experienced vet with high clinical standards, who thrives working as part of a team, and enjoys forming long-lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
