About Us
Acorns are a 2-site practice. The main site on Portland road has
2-3 vets working supported by 3-4 vet nurses per day. Then Hangleton road branch supports a smaller but tight-knit community and would be sole charge with 2 nurses supporting. Equipment includes in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound machine, digital dental x-ray, operating theatre. We consider staff well-being a priority as well as working with our staff to create a good work-life balance which enables us to provide a great and friendly service to our clients, many of whom have been with the practice for several decades.
Local attractions around both sites, a 5-minute walk from a beautiful seafront and a 10-minute drive to the South Downs. Hove is situated within Brighton and is a really fun place to live and work and great transport links to London.
About the Team and Culture
We have 5 Vets with us, alongside 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 1 Student Nurse. We have ample support with 5 support team members. 1 Certificate holder in feline medicine. We help our local Street Veterinary team, but it is one of our ambitions to do more in our community. We have an exceptionally supportive team in place, and should you pick Acorns as your next place to work, your well-being is one of our top priorities.
