Some of the day-to-day tasks involve:

  • Collaborating with our Trading Underwriter team in London to deliver end-to-end policy management for large, complex corporate risks

  • Delivering business-important metrics alongside our management team

  • Spotting and driving opportunities for operational improvements

  • Acting on feedback from customers and sharing ideas with managers and peers

  • Taking personal responsibility for development in line with business strategy

  • Occasional requirement for travel to our London office

Skills and experience we wish to see:

  • Proven record of delivering excellent customer outcomes

  • Experience in building and encouraging positive internal and external relationships

  • Good knowledge of IT including spreadsheets; databases and word processing

  • Previous underwriting experience is not essential as full training will be provided

  • Previous experience in the insurance or financial industry is preferable but, again, not essential

What will you get for this role?

  • Salary up to £25,000 depending on location; skills; experience and qualifications

  • A generous, defined-contribution pension scheme

  • Annual performance-related bonus and pay review

  • A holiday allowance of 25 days plus bank holidays and the option to buy/sell up to five additional days

  • Up to 40% discount for some Aviva products through “My Aviva Extras” plus discounts for Friends and Family (some exclusions apply)

  • Excellent range of flexible benefits to include a matching share-save scheme

Aviva is for everyone:

We are inclusive – we want applications from people with diverse backgrounds.

Excited but not sure you tick every box?

Research tells us that women, particularly, feel this way. So, regardless of gender, why not apply? And if you’re in a job-share just apply as a pair.

We flex locations; hours and working patterns to suit our customers; business; and you.

Most of our people are smart working – spending around 60% of their time in our offices and 40% at home.

We interview every disabled applicant who meets the minimum criteria for the job. Once you’ve applied, please send us an email stating that you have a disclosed disability and we’ll interview you.

We’d love it if you could submit your application online. If you require an alternative method of applying, please give Nicola Janneh a call on 07789 624461 or send an email to Nicola.Janneh@Aviva.com.
