About the team
The Infrastructure and Place (IP) division is in the process of delivering an ambitious and once-in-a generation multi-billion program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come. We are dedicated and passionate team that is proud of the work we do and the supportive and flexible team culture we have built.
The Transport Asset Revitalisation Program (TARP) is a Real Estate focussed program that has been established within TfNSW to identify, proritise and assist in unlocking value of surplus property assets within
TfNSW’s property portfolio. TARP assists in unlocking value through planning and / or development enhancements or through structuring capital transactions.
It involves extensive collaboration across the TfNSW cluster and with other government agencies. TARP will enable TfNSW to contribute to the financial sustainability of TfNSW whilst realising better transport, land use and place-making outcomes in-line with State and local policy objectives. This will in turn facilitate the delivery of new and improves transport services in TARP sites whilst ensuring alignment with key State and Local government strategies including the Metropolis of Three Cities, Greater Sydney Region Plan, State Infrastructure Strategy 2018-38, Future Transport 2056 and Councils Local Strategic Planning Statements.
The opportunity
The role of the Transport Requirements Manager manages the identification, evaluation and definition of both mandatory and desirable transport outcomes that enhance value and utilisation of government owned property, protects transport operations and delivers transport outcomes integrated with capital transactions and commercial developments. The role will focus on supporting the development of integrated transport precincts and property development-based solutions while assisting the team to deliver on government objectives and maximise return on investment.
The role reports directly to the Senior Transport Requirements Manager and has no direct reports but may be required to manage and oversee the work of Professional Service Contractors and work in a matrix structure.
About you
As a natural collaborator you will be highly connected and responsive when facilitating strategic stakeholder engagement, which will include the coordination of subject matter experts, contractors and consultants, across the Transport cluster agencies. We are looking for an articulate, collaborative individual with the capacity to support the synchronisation of a vast range of activities across multi-faceted technology and infrastructure projects and people, to ultimately provide strategic transport planning review and data analysis across multiple sites. You are a passionate, well-organised contributor who possesses excellent communication and understand how to leverage your network to remove roadblocks to keep critical projects on track to meet deliverables.
Tertiary qualifications in a Transport Planning / Planning, Design, Environmental, Engineering, Construction or Commercial / Business discipline or equivalent experience. Extensive experience in project planning and project management is desirable. Experience in the development, management, and improvement of project systems, change management initiatives and implementation of quality assurance processes is also desirable.
Highly motivated individual who is keen to be a part of a once-in-a generation multi-billion program of public infrastructure works and contribute to Urban Renewal outcomes.
