About The Role
We're looking for a Training Manager to look after our Essex & East Anglia group.
In this role you'll be responsible for the training delivery plan for the group, ensuring the relevant training is carried out in your training store, making it a centre of excellence. You will deliver against the training plan, liaising closely with the Regional Manager to deliver local plans as well as our corporate business objectives. Your role will involve training delivery as well as getting involved in the operation to understand and facilitate the training you feel is needed. You will be responsible for internal talent development, succession planning as well as ensuring we have the technical and behavioural skill sets we need in the right area. Your role will largely focus on the facilitation of both technical and leadership capability in the training store so you will be an enabler, with strong problem solving ability and excellent initiative.
About You
What will you do as a Training Manager?
Deliver training programmes to develop talent pipeline and talent development within our stores
Recruitment for all Management roles across the group, ensuring robust talent pipelines
Identify learning and development gaps and enabling and facilitating behavioural, leadership and technical training
Support, coach and develop teams
Schedule training in a cost effective way
Deliver training for business initiatives e.g. Fruit & Vegs Ways of Working or Morrisons Ordering
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Management or supervisory experience
Experience of working in a fast paced, retail environment with the ability to respond positively and quickly to business changes
Strong senior stakeholder management and influencing skills, to engage effectively with others, providing direction and challenge where required and an ability to build and maintain relationships
Effective and persuasive communicator with strong written skills
An understanding of data evaluation and keenness to act of the results
Comfortable with regular travel across the group
