The Opportunity
Based within the Major Works division, this role will support the training and delivery of the Electrical Isolations Improvement (EIIP) Program. This is a series of capability changes to deliver a safer, smarter and faster electrical power outage system (EPOS).
This role reports to the Program Lead and works as part of the Change team, ensuring essential competency development to support the Program’s proposed infrastructure and business process improvements by way of the introduction of new technologies, as well as achieving its continuing safety objectives.
What you will be involved in:
Engage with key stakeholders in Sydney Trains and across impacted businesses to provide expert advice to manager and leaders on fit-for-purpose competency and training strategies
Manage the end-to-end process of the creation, development and timely delivery of training programs within approved budgets for delivery by internal and external providers
Ensure alignment of competency, training assurance, and assessments meet Sydney Trains OD frameworks, regulations, standards and assessment cycles.
Consult with and regularly inform the Major Works Competency & Certification Manager on progress of competency and training plans for EII program.

About you
You are a collaborative and engaging Learning & Development professional with demonstrated experience in providing competency related subject matter expertise across all levels of the business. You have sound experience in the development, implementation and ongoing delivery of L&D strategies, ideally within a complex, multi-disciplinary, industrially sensitive environment.
You know how to build strong relationships, collaborate, and communicate effectively with leaders and other business stakeholders to drive outcomes.
Tertiary qualification in human resources, organisational development, adult learning or psychology will be highly regarded.
Salary and benefits
The salary for this position is Grade 6A ($127,559) – 6E ($141,442) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
