Shelly Bay Baker is a family run artisan bakery in Wellington, that believes in the power of real bread. We use natural and organic ingredients in all of our breads and natural levains to bake unique and flavorful sourdough breads, sandwich loafs, bagels, baguettes and more.
The trainee baker will be given full training on each section of the bakery. The role is full time 40 hours a week and the hours of work will be required throughout the night. The pay rate/salary will be competitive for working nights. The trainee baker role is a 4 day week schedule.
The successful candidate is responsible for the nightly preparation of all baked goods including naturally leavened breads. They will prepares all breads in accordance with our recipes and standards. In addition, the baker will clean bakery equipment, receives deliveries and stocks shelves, deliver to cafes, and completes nightly inventory.
