About this role
You are critical in supporting the ThreatCo Threat Intelligence Service and the wider BT Intelligence capability.
You oversee the single most important platform that enables BT to understand its own data sets and allows this Ringside Seat to be the differentiator for Managed Security Services.
You are the enabler that ensures that BT works with the TIP vendor of choice and ensures continual review that maximises the platform and its users to see further to tackle the greatest cyber threat, harm and risk.
You ensure that the users are exploiting the platform to its maximum and drives a programme of continual improvement in the threat intelligence space.
You'll have the following responsibilities
• Accountable to the head of the Intelligence Production Unit (IPU) to ensure that the Threat Intelligence Platform is being utilised to the maximum benefit for BT.
• Responsible for design and implementation of effective Quality Assurance (QA) processes to ensure intelligence is correctly and accurately entered onto the TIP.
• Responsible for maintaining an effective and productive relationship as the Primary Point of Contact (PPOC) for TIP supplier with the intention of:
• Addressing any issues on behalf of either party;
• Creating a roadmap for the development of the TIP to improve BT’s Threat Intelligence Service offering, and
• Working with the TIP provider to ensure there is a clear training programme for BT users to be able to leverage the TIP to its maximum effect.
• Responsible for ensuring the vision for a single repository is understood and is the cornerstone of the Intelligence domain. Will ensure that the TIP is effectively consuming / interrogating the differentiating data set that ThreatCo has built.
• Developing BT’s intelligence processing infrastructure (feeds into and out of the TIP) to maximise its utility.

Oversees and quality assures the content, detail, quality and timeliness of the data within and emanating from the TIP.

You'll have the following skills & experience
Required
• Security Infrastructure: Experience designing and developing cyber security and/or intelligence infrastructure.
• API interfaces: Experience working with APIs and other mechanisms to facilitate platform interconnectivity.
• Data Modelling: A good understanding to the data modelling, ideally including IoC / IoA / ‘observables’ centric use cases.
• Intel Feeds: Familiarity with a broad range of intelligence feeds (both human and machine readable).
• STIX / TAXII: Good knowledge of these standards, and the way in which they are deployed to automate routine integration tasks.
Desirable:
• Languages: Proficiency with Python, PHP or similar languages.
Experience you would be expected to have
• Extensive experience of stakeholder management and influencing skills to peers both internally and externally. (Mandatory)
• Previous experience developing and implementing cyber security (ideally Threat Intelligence related) infrastructure.
