Job Description

We are seeking a registered practitioner with an interest in Ophthalmology to support our brand new ophthalmology suite at The Cherwell Hospital. You will part of an exciting new service, and will gain experience from working alongside excellent clinicians.

The Role:

Working as part of our Theatre team to provide a high standard of efficient, individualised patient care in ophthalmology and our other specialities, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and plastics.

To train and work as a scrub practitioner for our Ophthalmology theatre suite. Be trained or receive appropriate training & support to perform specific ophthalmic including phaco cataracts surgery.

Gain a full understanding of the patient pathway and engage with all aspects of the patient experience.

To maintain competence with regular theatre sessions as scrub practitioner

Be a strong communicator and team player with exceptional standards for customer service standards. Adhering to all of Ramsay’s policies and procedures to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for patients. A strong advocate of the Ramsay Way and People Caring for People.

What you’ll bring with you:

  • Registered with the NMC or HCPC
  • Previous experience within Theatre
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
  • A passion for delivering an excellent patient-focus service
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Demonstrated computer skills.
