BOOKKEEPER
There's an exciting opportunity for a professional Bookkeeper at a growing accounting firm. This position requires strong social skills and a collaborative work ethic. As a bookkeeper you will be responsible for general accounting administration, ensuring all client accounts are to date and communicating with clients regularly. This Bookkeeper role is a long-term contract position is based in the Richmond Hill, Ontario region.
Major responsibilities
- Preside over an efficient system to track financial transactions and define policies and procedures for bookkeeping
- Manage and review general ledger
- Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
- Appease accounts by balancing entries
- Maintain quality historical records by filing documents
- Craft Accounts Receivable invoices, reviewing payments received, and record deposits
- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
- Bookkeeping experience desired
- Expense reports experience highly desired
- Strong familiarity with Bookkeeping Functions
- Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Office 365
- Computerized Bookkeeping System experience
- Proven knowledge of Quickbooks Online
- Basic Bookkeeping experience required
- 2+ years of previous experience as a Bookkeeper
- Prior experience working with collections/accounting software
