Are you currently looking for a new position? A company in the Food & Food Processing industry has partnered with Robert Half to find an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. The Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a company in the Food & Food Processing industry. Located in Cambridge, Ontario, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary opening. In this progressive department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Clerk duties will include matching and batching code invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.

Responsibilities

- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

- Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

- Perform special projects as assigned

- Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

- Implement full-cycle A/P

- Provide support during internal and external audits

- Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time

- Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail


Requirements

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Expertise in Microsoft Excel

- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
