We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated Technical Specialist of Immunohistochemistry to our team in the Histology Department at Middlemore Hospital. Middlemore Hospital is a 950 bed Hospital and is one of New Zealands busiest and diverse teaching hospitals with a large Emergency Department, Dialysis Unit, National Burns Unit, Regional Plastic Surgery, Special Care Baby Unit, ICU, and paediatrics, general surgical, orthopaedic and medical wards. The Histology department is situated on-site at the Middlemore campus and provides a Histology and NonGynaecological Cytology Service for Counties Manukau Health. The Histology department is involved in teaching scientific / technical and medical staff. Our laboratory is IANZ accredited and is fitted with the latest Histology equipment and systems. We aim to adapt to and embrace future technology and IT advances in the industry, and we seek a candidate who has the same outlook. The position is full time (1.0 FTE) and you will work alongside a dedicated team of Scientists and Technicians, Charge Scientist, Laboratory Service Manager, and Consultant Pathologist Team in the delivery of a high quality Histology service.
