About the opportunity

The Technical Services Coordinator is responsible for delivering and providing general administrative duties to the University’s Access Control and security systems, working with a range of technical systems to manage and reduce security risk, ensure quality and continuity of security operations. The role is responsible for coordinating and actioning customer service enquiries in support of the Technical Services team.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

provide administrative support to the Technical services team to maintain the University’s electronic and access control systems

administer and operate security systems and their related programs

processing of security requests including access control

scheduling of contractors for maintenance work and general admin relating to evolving incidents

auditing of safety systems, ensuring they are operating per University guidelines

procedural inspections on systems and equipments

maintain records, finance/accounting support and reporting

provide excellent customer focused delivery of agreed services, and be a point of contact for staff and students regarding security systems information and assistance

About you

experience in access control or CCTV support preferred

demonstrated experience in an administrative environment handling a high volume of work

advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite

numeracy skills together with experience in controlling income/expenditure for budget tracking, managing invoice payments and purchases

problem solving skills and the ability to take initiative

high level of verbal and written communication

ability to work on campus as required
