About this role

Our organisation executes planning and deployment for the entirety of the UK network and as such underpin BTs UK Consumer, Enterprise and GS businesses.  Ensuring that we deliver infrastructure timely, cost effectively and to high quality ensures that our CFUs can sell at competitive rates, with competitive SLAs and ensures that we run a network with sufficient capacity to deliver the Customer Experience that our customer deserve.  

This role ensures that the major programs underpinning critical BT strategies are delivered against, ensuring that BT continues to provide our customers with the best customer experience at the best costs.     

This role will underpin Time, Cost and Quality delivery of key scorecard impacting programs and services.  The programs and services could be on behalf of Enterprise, Consumer or OR.  Whilst driving delivery, the role will also investigate new ways of working, through process improvements and automation, in order to underpin the future success of BT.   

You'll have the following responsibilities

•  Partners with a range of internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues, update on progress and achieve benefits.

•  Coordinates a diverse team to deliver medium sized, technical projects within a specific domain which enable benefits for customers across a portfolio of projects.

•  Identifies and implements ways to improve team, process and service performance and suggests and implements changes to how team operates.

•  Identifies opportunities to resolve risks and issues relating to delivery and any impacts on related components or teams.

•  Partners with a range of internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues, update on progress and achieve benefits.

•  Leverages technical expertise to monitor all actions and activities, from scope to delivery, to ensure adherence to technical roadmap and time and budget constraints.

•  Accountable for delivery of the core infrastructure Programs and Services.  Recent examples are delivery of 100G B/H and infrastructure for the 5G and FTTP expansions.   

•  Accountable for driving enhancements to delivery, ensuring we continue to evolve our organisation delivering faster, at lower cost and with improved quality.

•  Accountable for Challenging our wider business on ensuring that everything we deliver has real business benefit and that we avoid wastage in our network or in our deliver organisation.

 

You'll have the following skills & experience

Data Analysis – Experience of Data analysis to identify and improvement opportunities, project risks and issues, progress against business objectives.

Communication – Experience of communicating and presenting to Director level stakeholders progress, risks and issues of key programs.

•  Improvement focus - You coach and empower teams to anticipate and analyse obstacles in work processes. You support them to develop solutions and implement ways to improve processes and make things more efficient.

•  Issue management - You conduct a deep review of data and issues to quickly reveal the root cause. You recommend short and long-term solutions to complex problems and follow through to make sure we solve them.

•  Be agile - You identify opportunities to use collaborative approaches and continuous improvement. You contribute to projects as a subject matter expert or content owner.

•  Technical Awareness – You use Technical understanding to understand the designs and solutions to particular programs, and use that knowledge to drive for successful outcomes. 

•  Business Strategy - Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases)

•  Stakeholder Management - Excellent stakeholder management skills with both internal and external groups.  Plus a strong ability to present clearly, concisely and accurately report to Director and MD level stakeholders.

•  Data Analysis – use strong data analysis skills  to build insight into the program performance, delivery progress and identify current/future risks/issues.
