Job Description

Our federal government client is looking for a Technical Architect (Networks and Hardware) to join the Simulation Software Development team! 

Tasks will include:

  • Works with the senior Modeling and Simulation team to develop architectures and design simulation solutions in support of Army training. 
  • Will act on behalf of the client as the Technical Authority for the Canadian Army's Virtual Training and Experimentation Network (VTEN), which is a Wide-Area Network that interconnects Army training Centers across Canada.
  • Leading a team of system admin and network administrators (Junior and Intermediate)
  • Form part of the DLCSPM (Director Land Command Support Program Management) Engineering team, to formulate concepts and designs of future simulation and software baselines.
  • Problem solving technology solutions for simulation software development.

Qualifications

  • 10 + years of progressive experience developing architectures with a networking background and experience in simulation. 
  • Experience in the military/DND with Land Command Support Systems is considered a strong asset
  • Experience working in simulation with an enterprise level background in development, concepts and design of WAN in IT/Cyber would be considered an asset. 
  • Must hold a valid Secret level clearance with the Federal Government 

Additional Information

  • Travel (up to 20%) within Canada and potential for international travel (depending on Covid restrictions) 
  • Bilingual (English/French) considered a strong asset
