This role is within our Garden Department:

Kiwis love to garden, and we love to assist them with their gardening needs.   We are looking for experienced retail sales professionals with green fingers and a customer-focused attitude.  Your gardening passion may come from time in your own backyard, or you may have undertaken horticultural training – either way you will enjoy helping our customers select the right plants, along with all the dry goods and hardware, whether it’s fertilizers and pest control or gardening gloves and a wheelbarrow.

For this position we are looking for someone who has:

• A quick and alert mind, with the ability to adapt and be flexible
• Willingness to learn; and
• Excellent communication skills.

Previous retail experience and/or experience within this department will be viewed very favourably.

In this role you will report to the Garden Centre Manager.

The hours for this role are a minimum of a 38 hours per week. The store is open 7 days a week and rosters are based on a fortnight period which will include 2 weekend days per fortnight.
