About our Team/Culture

We are a friendly and supportive team, made up of staff interested in the democratic process, and in serving and supporting our Ministry’s colleagues, our clients and our Ministers.

The role of the Ministerial and Executive Services (MaES) team is to provide advice and support to the Ministry of Social Development’s Minister, Associate Ministers, Chief Executive, and other senior staff. 

About the Role

This role provides high quality and timely administrative support to a team within Ministerial & Executive Services.

This includes:

  • Logging information requests, correspondence, parliamentary questions, and Official Information Act requests.
  • Sending responses to requestors of information.
  • Managing group inboxes.
  • Managing and maintaining the databases and information framework for record keeping purposes.
  • Maintaining and producing statistical reports from the electronic document and records management system (Objective) for regular reporting.
  • Registering and generating traceable references for reports to Ministers.

About You - Skills and Experience

We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated person to join the Ministerial and Executive Services team as an administrator. Our administrators are the heart of our team.

You will need great people skills for this role as you'll be supporting a team (or multiple teams) within a larger team, and also be liaising with people all across the Ministry.

Ideally, you'll have interest in the Ministry's work and in the way that the Ministry relates to its clients, to Ministers, and to Parliament.

You will have excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel and some experience with records systems, reporting and information management, or the willingness and ability to quickly get familiar with new systems and processes.

Salary range: $47,682.00 - $58,278.00
