What will I be doing?

This is where you come in! Whānau are at the heart of everything we do so you'll be playing a key role in building relationships with our children and families here at BestStart Ferry Road! We are a centre of 3 classrooms, in a newly built centre. We are a team of 8 (and growing) . The team is passionate about provided a fun and inviting environment for all tamariki that join our whanau and supporting them all to achieve their goals.

The team here at BestStart Ferry Rd prides themselves on being supportive and our manager has mentored many teachers through their training to develop and strengthen their skills to becoming great teachers. We are open from 7:30am to 5:30pm with flexible 8 hour shifts.

We are looking for a teacher-in-training studying towards their Early Childhood Degree. If you are someone who is passionate about working with tamariki ages 0-2, and want to work in an environment with a great support network and mentorship abilities, then BestStart Ferry Rd is the place for you!

This position is permanent and 30 hours per week (set shift 9am - 5pm Tuesday - Friday) with our under 2's.

Role requirements:

• Currently studying towards a Bachelor of Education
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Passionate about pursuing a career in Early Childhood
• Strong understanding of planning and assessment, pedagogy, ECE regulations and curriculum
