Your role
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for Engineering, with a result-oriented and proactive mindset. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on several exciting projects throughout their career with QR_ and Alten group, developing their engineering and PDM knowledge as an Engineer and a consultant.
As a project engineer your main responsibilities will be split around 3 topics.
Be responsible and accountable for the design coordination between the client, Operator and Customer on the interface design between signalling system and existing ALX & APS systems.
Develop, implement and lead the system integration activities
Responsible for the interface and integration work between different systems:
Information exchange of input drawings, specifications, operational rules, manual, existing hazards etc.
Interface point definition (incl. IHA, HAZOP, update on the existing hazards)
Feasibility Studies on the existing ALX and APS systems.
Interface Requirement Definition
Review the System Architecture Diagram (SAD)
Review the Interface Design between Systems (Conceptual & Detailed Design)
Lead the coordination work of the between RMS, ALX and APS.
Responsible to develop the RMS & ALX and APS interface specification (Interface Control Document-ICD) with client.
Support RTP-System Integration Manager on the development of the T&C between RMS, ALX and APS System.
Responsible for the development of the ALX and APS integration work with client.
Review the existing interface specification and ensure the document is well developed.
Review and support the coordinated design between RMS and ALX & APS.
Review and support the development of the T&C activities between RMS and ALX & APS.
Prepare the test specification and test procedures between the interfacing systems.
Provide support for the preparation of Impact Assessment Report (IAR), if there are any changes required, to ensure all the impacts are being assessed and acknowledged.
Provide support to client about the works related to System Integration for RTP, such as the review of rail operation processes and procedures, operational and maintenance (O&M) manual.
Requirements
5+ years of experience
Knowledgeable in CENELEC standards and application of engineering principles.
Ability to lead and drive the integration activities between different system suppliers.
Familiar with railway system engineering and integration activities.
Have practical experience of applying engineering management and application throughout system development lifecycles.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering or related degree preferred
