Randstad Technologies is a focused team with a keen eye on future change in Technology, Digital Transformation and Experience. In partnership with Tait Communications, we are seeking technical talent for a number of new positions in Software Engineering, Testing and DevOps.

Tait Communications is a global leader in designing and delivering critical communications solutions which are the right fit for a variety of industries, including public safety agencies, government services, utilities, extractive industries, and urban transport providers.

Across the world, users of Tait products and services are better able to protect themselves and the public, be more responsive and more productive. Tait Global Services provide 24x7 support for the products used by Tait's customers. Tait Managed Services extend support to provide network monitoring, and where selected, full network management.

About the Role

Working in the Tait Managed Services team, the Managed Service System Engineer is responsible for the tools delivering network management. With connections to our customer networks these provide centralized management from the Tait Global Service Management Centre.

In this role you will lead the operation of the tools, ensuring:

  • Continuous availability of customer monitoring
  • Designing and delivering monitoring for new managed customers
  • Planning and scheduling enhancements to the tools through delivery of releases
  • Working with the tool vendors to address issues where required.
  • Seeking Continuous Operational Improvements for the monitoring technicians.

About You

We are looking for experience working with IT Infrastructure Operations and Management. Experience in communications is desirable.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years experience in an IT/Communications infrastructure management role
  • Graduate qualification in IT/Engineering or related field
  • CCNA or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Foundation level knowledge of the ITIL framework
  • Previous experience working with BMC Truesight and Entuity Network Analytics is advantageous
