The central Sustainable Transportation team at Amazon is looking for a Sustainable Transportation Manager to design and drive the global employee commute decarbonization strategy. In this role, the leader will partner with key stakeholders across different Amazon businesses to define and scope decarbonization initiatives for employee commute. This position will require the ability to continuously innovate, and as such, the ideal candidate will embody a unique mix of leadership and strong proactive action. The candidate will possess stellar communication, negotiation and influencing skills to promote consensus across multiple stakeholders. In addition, this role requires excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills, and the ability to achieve goals in an ever-growing and ambiguous environment. Ownership of work is extremely important, and the candidate is expected to have extensive experience in coordinating projects and strategic initiatives from idea to completion. The ideal candidate will be motivated, agile, and will have great time and project management skills. Finally, the candidate will show sound judgment and instincts and continually improve their level of knowledge about Amazon’s business, its platform, and relevant technologies.

Key job responsibilities
· Define and deploy high-impact global transportation decarbonization initiatives
·Oversee transportation decarbonization programs, metrics and goals definition
· Partner with Amazon businesses stakeholders and secure buy-in on the deployment of decarbonization initiatives
· Partner with Sustainability Tech and external companies to build tools that will support employee commute decarbonization
· Communicate and present to key internal and stakeholders and leaders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA, Master and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, Sustainability, Sustainable Development, Urban Mobility, or related field from an accredited university.
· Experience in designing and managing global, highly-complex programs
· Experience in assessing and deploying sustainable mobility initiatives in urban environments
· Experience in building business cases and designing the roadmap for new technology adoption

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· ­PhD in Sustainable Transportation
· Superior written and verbal communication and data presentation skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work on collaborative, cross-functional teams.
· Ability to influence without authority and experience in collaborating across functions.
· Interest in high energy environments where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel.
