In the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability team, we protect and enhance the reputation of our brand.  We work with those in our business and supply chains to ensure we operate in an ethical and sustainable way and strive to protect our planet for future generations.  We look after all aspects of corporate responsibility and sustainability and work to improve the lives of the people in the communities we serve and source from.  We have a varied and diverse workload looking at matters such as climate change, waste and biodiversity as well as labour practices across our global supply chain.

As our Sustainability Programme and Reporting Manager you will lead on different aspects of our governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement and activation. You will play a critical central coordination role and be at the heart of our CR&S plan, inspiring and supporting others and providing them with the insights, frameworks, processes, data and tools to deliver. You will support in the definition and delivery of our Plan For Better programme for Sainsbury’s Group, working alongside subject matter experts in the business to develop a forward looking programme that responds to risks and opportunities in the market to make Sainsbury’s sustainability strategy best in class. You will provide effective, efficient, and timely programme management and reporting support whilst ensuring accurate prioritisation of tasks and the efficient flow of information between teams. You’ll need to have excellent project management skills, take ownership and report on progress at appropriate periods and ensure the wider team have clear and appropriate support and information to complete their roles.

This is a busy, fast paced role so you’ll need excellent organisation, communication and presentation skills and ideally have experience in strategy development and sustainability reporting.
