A career in our Sustainability practice, within Risk Assurance Compliance and Analytics services, will provide you with the opportunity to assist clients in developing analytics and technology solutions that help them detect, monitor, and predict risk. Using advanced technology, we’re able to focus on establishing the right controls, processes and structures for our clients to ensure that decisions are based on accurate information and assure that information provided to third parties is accurate, complete, and can be trusted.

Our team helps organisations plan, source, deliver, finance and measure the wider impact of products and services. We’re helping to future proof businesses by making them more resilient and sustainable. You’ll focus on identifying and prioritising sustainability issues, setting goals that support alignment and integration of the sustainability vision into overall corporate strategy, and implementing processes, controls, systems, and dashboards to measure progress for consistent and accurate reporting.

In our ESG Certification services practice, you’ll work with people who have a broad range of skills and expertise – accountants, engineers, scientists, management consultants and industry experts.  You will have the opportunity to work within our team and learn our services in three key areas that include non-forestry certification services, forestry certification services and Information Security services. Our service area provides both advisory and assessment services to a broad range of industry sectors including: forestry, mining, oil & gas, utilities, technology, consumer goods as well as the public sector among others. Working with our team professional’s means you’ll be working with a diverse team that is growing to support client needs and other lines of business with the PwC network in one of the fastest and most exciting areas, ESG.

What you’ll create and do

Utilizing our internal PwC client management software (CGR) to support our ISO certification and forestry (FSC, PEFC and SFI) certification assessments.

Support managing PwC’s certification practice’s business management system (BMS) operating procedures in alignment with our regulatory standards and their requirements as an accredited Certification Body.

Supporting business development initiatives including budgets, proposals and engagement letters for new and existing clients.

Play a key role in facilitating the steps within the life cycle of our client certification engagements from proposal stage through to key steps in the delivery of the service on a recurring annual basis. 

Continuously communicating with our certification team including contractors through to the Partner level on the status of client delivery steps in the delivery cycle associated with KPIs. In addition, tracking and communicating back office key activities such as the status of internal training requirements, renewal of qualification for our team, tracking key internal operational activities assigned to individuals as part of our weekly operational team meetings.

Developing a positive environment within the team and with clients.

Learning our certification services practice and gaining a good understanding of the compliance requirements that apply to the various certifications services including dispositioning industry publication to our SMEs, tracking and facilitating new and revised compliance Standards utilizing our Management of Change process.

What you’ll bring to this role

Ability to multitask in a time sensitive environment; strong organizational skills, project management skills to be able to handle multiple projects/clients at once.

Organization and project management experience at various levels

Experience and knowledge client support services

Quality lens that will identify efficiencies and improvements to our internal operational processes

Outstanding grammar and writing skills to support revising internal operational procedures, writing internal reports and writing proposals

Creative skills utilizing Google suite (Google docs, sheets and slides), Powerpoint and strong knowledge of EXCEL spreadsheets

An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, comfortable and proven skill to learn new software applications and confidence to develop super user abilities to customize our existing CGR application and or work with the software application provider to facilitate major changes.

A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives at all levels

Proven ability to manage projects, specifically contract management, procurement, quality assurance

Excellent oral and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent client service, by building and maintaining productive relationships with both internal team members and external clients

Ability to adapt and adjust to circumstances, as every client is different, and circumstances are ever changing

A positive mind set and can do approach

A University degree or College diploma and project management and or administration experience would be considered an asset for this position.
