Our Purpose: Our Reason For Being
When you work at Hohepa Canterbury, you are part of something very special. We are a community leader providing services and support for people living with an intellectual disability to live their best lives and find a valued place in our society.
Inspired by Dr Rudolf Steiner’s principles of anthroposophy we actively engage with the people we support so to empower them to develop to their fullest potential and lead enriched and meaningful lives in a holistic, supportive environment.
Our Culture: What We Care About
Our secret ingredient is laughter. We greet the day with positivity and passion, bringing all of ourselves – head, heart, and hands. Building on our shared history and philosophy, we challenge the status quo for the good of all people and the disability sector. We celebrate the uniqueness of every individual – we are all different, and that’s what makes us interesting.
The Opportunity: What This Role’s All About
Working as part of a doubled staffed team supporting six women, this role requires the ability to balance active management of ongoing health concerns with the pursuit of every life, fully lived.
This is a well established team looking for someone to step up and as part of the team ensure household routines, organisational processes and quality of life outcomes are achieved. The six women in this house need somebody motivated to connect them to their community while ensuring their well-being needs are met.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced support worker to demonstrate they are ready for more responsibility and have an eye on leadership roles in the future
