Job Description

Agilus is recruiting for a Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist in the Oil and Gas Industry in Corunna, Ontario. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate to work directly with the client’s Supply Chain (SC) organization with specific accountability to execute competitive bidding and contracting support for service & material categories supporting the client’s Project and Engineering business. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tenders, evaluate bids, drive negotiations with suppliers & provide purchase recommendations in line with SC & contracting framework and in collaboration with business stakeholders
  • Apply client’s SC practices while focusing on contribution to business drivers and not compromising compliance for health, safety, environment, social performance, ethics & compliance, Code of Conduct, Laws and regulations
  • Prepare/generate and issue purchase orders, manage the buying process with specified negotiated cost, quality and delivery targets with approved suppliers
  • Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with suppliers regarding new projects, supplies and initiatives, advise of impact of change on purchasing and production activities
  • Understand changes in the business, business drivers & the external environment that may affect the supply and demand of needed services, products and materials and advise stakeholders of potential impacts

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree with a SC, Business Management, Finance, Economics or other relevant specialization for the position
  • SCMP or other relevant professional designation an asset
  • Strong grounding in procurement and bid management in the Energy or other relevant industry
  • Skilled in SAP, Ariba and MS Office Tools
  • Self-regulator with proven ability to deliver intended goals, objectives & outcomes; strong negotiation skills
  • Capable of leading, coaching and assuring process and procedure compliance related to Project Bidding and contracting process requirements
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
