Microsoft is looking for a highly motivated, self-driven & inspiring contributor to join Asia Pacific and Japan Sales & Operation Excellence team, a highly influential group within the Microsoft Device Supply Chain (MDSC) organization.

 

The Supply Chain Manager will be a key member of APJ Sales & Operation Excellence team, ensuring operational and financial success for the exciting categories like Xbox, Surface, and products of the future. 

 

This role will be responsible for overall operations product management strategy, commitments, functional processes and ROB, ensuring demand alignment via Sales & Operations Planning and execution, providing direction on global channel lifecycle and inventory policies across segments & regions, landing new products to markets across multiple channels and advancing supply chain capabilities to support strategic product roadmaps.

 

The ideal candidate must combine exceptional statistical and analytical capabilities with strong business acumen and expertise on Demand sensing, supply optimization, and end to end supply chain function governance. This individual must have ability to successfully drive cross-functional alignment, exerting influence in a matrixed organization, demonstrate leadership and relationship management skills, with a proven track record of influencing stakeholders to drive business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with global and regional product marketing & segment teams on “operationalizing” product strategies
  • Lead or participate across virtual teams for a specific product category, defining and executing new business models to support category go-to-market plans
  • Manage product lifecycle, including launch processes, readiness and execution of activities to successfully deliver new products into the supply chain of our channel partners, as well as end of life to minimize exposure.
  • Play a key role in the demand forecasting process in conjunction with corporate and regional teams
  • Lead process and performance management to optimize inventory availability within region
  • Manage inventory availability risks in region through proactive analysis of demand/supply information, providing guidance to regional availability prioritization and allocations and ensuring timely execution of partner and management decisions
  • Provide direction on lifecycle and channel inventory policies and processes across segments and geographies
  • Manage and monitor category metrics at global and regional level

Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of relevant experience, preferably within high-tech manufacturing, consumer electronics and supply chain industry
  • Deep and extensive supply chain experience, such as new product introduction, end of life management, demand supply planning management and balancing, inventory management, customer relationship management
  • Demonstrated leadership of complex cross functional process development projects, with a proven ability to effectively set scope, manage priorities, reach consensus & deliver results while meeting stretching deadline constraints
  • Advanced conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities and knowledge of business systems and information technology for managing complex supply chain organizations
  • Good understanding of market dynamics with solid business management skills including the ability to develop, translate and manage strategy, to formulate and monitor budgets and expenses, and to manage costs.
  • Exceptional leadership, particularly in complex, international, and cross-functional teams worldwide
  • Ability to partner at senior levels to design and implement programs & solutions
  • Exceptional interpersonal and executive level communications (verbal and written) skills
  • Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, operations management, or industrial engineering
  • MBA preferred
