About the role:

Reporting to a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of electricians, apprentice electricians, technicians, general duties staff and other SME's to deliver outstanding quality, service and performance to our clients related to electrical and ITS assets, maintenance, upgrades & builds. The opportunity to be mentored and to mentor to develop yourself and others. This is a wide-ranging field role and involves working with a variety of electrical assets, controllers, communications, ITS assets, and the like. Key duties include servicing, proactive and reactive maintenance of a huge range of electrical assets in disciplines including the telemetry, networking, camera's, and electronic signs to name but a few. We envisage this role will require travel within and around Christchurch on an occasional basis to support our wide and diverse range of clients on behalf of the growing ITS business in this area.

About You:

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• National Certificate in Electrical Engineering - Electrician for Registration. Must be a New Zealand registered Electrician and have a current Electricians practising license with the EWRB.
• Must have leadership experience and preferably related academic qualifications
• Must be able to work alone from time to time and be able to manage your own time.
• Able and willing to complete essential safety, work job sheets and timesheets on a daily basis.
• Flexibility is essential - as there is an occasional requirement to travel and stay away from home.
• An on-call roster operates, you will be expected to be on call one week in 4 after 3 months training
• A mechanical and technically inclined mind an advantage

• A strong attention to detail
• The ability to lead a team and work as part of a team
• Solid computer skills and exposure to a wide variety of computer applications
• A current full Class 1 drivers' licence

Additionally, you will be driving service delivery, operational excellence, and quality to ensure KPI's are met.
