Hi, we\'re GoStreetFood, a free-to-use listing site for Street Food vendors. We\'re just about to launch and we need a multi-talented superstar to join the team and be our first hire, helping us in all areas of the business, especially around social media, community management, and research/operations.
Our ambition is to test the concept locally, and if it works/provides value to both suppliers and users, then the intention will be monetise and scale up, replicating the model to all areas of the UK...maybe the world?! With this, whoever joins us will get the opportunity to be integral from the beginning.
This role requires a real variety of tasks, from social media management, to researching and onboarding suppliers.
In terms of Social Media, the tasks involved would be:
- Creating original social content using Canva, using our templates and adhering to brand guidelines, but showing creativity and bringing your own ideas.
- Posting and scheduling on Facebook and Instagram.
- Discovering local food groups on FB, posting, commenting, and engaging.
- Liking and engaging with local Street Food vendors and championing our local food scene.
In addition, there is also scope to:
- Be responsible for researching local street food vendors and pop-ups, building relationships and helping to onboard them onto the platform.
- Working with our writer to generate and research blog content.
It would be great if you either lived locally or had some familiarity with the London area, but it\'s not essential. In time, this project will move to all areas of the UK, so being UK based is essential.
The fixed price is for a monthly recurring fee and the expectation is to work approximately 1-1.5 days per week, but timings are not fixed, will always be very flexible and the role is 100% remote.
Some experience with CMS and/or content management platforms and scheduling tools such as Buffer would be useful, and being comfortable with platforms such as Google Sheets, Slack, Asana etc would also be desirable. However, the most important quality is attitude - we need someone that is ready to learn, but shows initiative, gets things done, but is quick to ask questions if anything is unclear. Â
You\'ll literaly be helping to build a business from the ground up, be involved in all sorts of integral early-stage decisions, and will have a lot of freedom and autonomy to influence and contribute. Â
