Mercer is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Auckland office, with flexibility to accommodate remote working – Superannuation Analyst.

We will count on you to:

  • Review and prepare “client ready” actuarial reports and other advice to NZ superannuation scheme clients.
  • Client relationship management – ensuring regular client interaction and attending client meetings.
  • Supporting delivery of technical analysis, strategic consulting and ad-hoc advice.
  • Using technical knowledge and consulting skills to prepare customized superannuation consulting advice (Actuarial Funding and Accounting valuations).
  • Work closely and collaboratively across the wider Mercer business to peer review administration work, providing guidance and support in the annual review process.

What you need to have:

  • Strong client and stakeholder management skills, able to work with clients and colleagues across all levels from junior colleagues to CEO’s of our client organisation.

What makes you stand out?

  • Ability to peer review reporting of calculations and technical data and commentary.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and style that explains technical concepts clearly.
  • Advantageous to have knowledge of NZ Superannuation and/or KiwiSaver and legislation.
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills.
  • Tertiary qualified in Finance, Economics Business, Mathematics, Actuarial studies or related Degree.
