Mō te tūnga | The role

This role plays a key support to our SHIVERS research programme, aiming at improving the understanding of influenza and respiratory viruses and how to prevent their spread.

We are looking for a Study Data Analyst to join on a 12 month fixed term basis with a focus on:

• Working with key members of the SHIVERS research team to provide appropriate data management and data analysis
• Following Standard Operating Procedures for data collection and management
• Contributing to the SHIVERS study reports and publications
• Monitoring and ensuring data quality in databases, study outputs and reports

Mōu | About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience in working in a similar environment that would enable you to complete the above tasks, ideally with experience in an applied public health or biomedical research setting
• Proficiency in programming with common statistical analysis software packages (eg STATA, R, SAS)
• Ability to work with data, including attention to detail, high standards and ability to use a range of software
• Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills and the ability to identify patterns and trends
• Communication skills that enable you to build good relationships with a range of people.
• Ability to work flexibly with the team and prioritise work.
