Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience within the Telco/original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or technology industry.
• Experience in business strategy and associated analysis.
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working in corporate strategy, management consultancy, and/or channel sales/sales strategy, with Telcos, Retailers, or in a related industry/environment.
• Experience in building data-driven business cases and structuring complex strategic agreements, and commercially savvy.
• Ability to drive strategic projects from ideation to execution in an ambiguous environment.
• Ability to understand legalese as it may relate to agreements and regulatory decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, with business leaders and executives.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with business acumen.

About the job

The Platforms and Ecosystems Business Development Strategy and Operations team sits within the broader Global Partnerships organization and works very closely with the Android Product teams and the associated Partnerships teams.

Our team has three primary objectives: acting as strategic thought partners to business development leadership, developing go-to-market strategy, and scaling capabilities for Android products and the broader ecosystem, and creating and managing programs to solve complex ecosystem dynamics.

As a Strategy and Operations Manager for Android Platform Partnerships, you will lead partnerships strategy projects for carriers to grow Android in consumer and enterprise channels. You will work closely with the Android Carrier Business Development team to provide business insights, support business critical operations, and support complex agreements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Platform and Ecosystems (P&E) partnerships and cross-functional teams to drive P&E strategy across a number of regions.
• Synthesize industry intelligence, partner feedback, and user insights to influence product roadmaps and global strategy projects.
• Identify operational problems and issues within partnerships and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare business/objective key results (OKR) reviews, and create tools and processes to ensure that the partnerships team have relevant information.
• Define and execute programs and processes to solve these problems, creating scalable solutions when possible.
