Our client is one of the surging Cold Storage Facility here in Australia and due to recent movements; they now have leadership opportunities in one of their sites in the Western Suburbs. 

They are now looking for a Store Supervisor who will primarily be responsible for the general supervision and day-to-day work of the warehouse and its employees. This includes assisting the Operations Manager with the planning of work and supervising day-to-day employee work tasks. This supervision includes all employees who work in the warehouse area, including casual employees who perform forklift operation and case picking.

Duties:

• Driving Safety Standards in your team at all times.
• Adhering and achieving customer safety goals in direct areas of responsibility and following all relevant OH&S legislative, policy and procedural requirements.
• Monitoring and training your direct reports on compliance with the site procedures and daily activities.
• Overseeing the receipting, issuing and stock control of a range of inventory in our warehouse.
• Liaising with the Site Manager to achieve site tasks and meet KPI requirements, while using these targets to filter down into your operational team prioritizing activities on a daily basis.
• Arrange for the correct disposal of inventory aligning with security and environmental concerns that may occur.
• Documenting toolbox talks and completing all documentation required by Management.
• Coordinate the implementation of business initiatives which are aligned with business goals.
• Develop, maintain and continually improve processes and procedures within the department.

Essentials:

• 5+ years’ plus experience in a similar role or equivalent logistics and transport industry experience.
• High attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability and experience leading large teams.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Demonstrated experience with leading and motivating operational teams.
• Ability to make and execute effective decisions on own initiative.
• Safety focused.
• Good knowledge of warehouse operations including WMS/TMS systems.
• Attention to detail.

This is a Casual to Perm opportunity with this schedule: Monday- Friday, 2:00PM-10:30PM.
