Job Description

Our client is adding a Store Manager to the team. They need a manager of people, operations and processes who is incredibly organized and can effectively supervise the day-to-day workings of a warehouse-retail environment.

If you have the passion for fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes customer experience and motivating a team to achieve sales targets, this is the Store Manager opportunity to consider.

Overview

You may be an Operations Manager, or you may be a Team Lead or Floor Supervisor. You have exposure to the realities of adapting the team’s approach and daily processes to support rapid growth. You understand client services, storefront management, and warehouse operations. You are looking for a new challenge in a sales-driven environment, overseeing people from recruitment to career development. You are a multi-tasker in the truest sense, someone who can prioritize the needs of the team, the sales targets, and the demands of the storefront without getting overwhelmed.

Focus

  • Fostering a collaborative and supportive environment with a focus on team wins. This is a team calling out for support, mentorship, and guidance. You will assess the need for additional resources across all groups and manage the recruitment process from end to end. You will hold daily, weekly, and monthly meetings to ensure a high level of transparency and clear communication.
  • Coaching a sales team. This is a diverse team with a range of experience. You will offer insights, guidance, and motivation. You will support their sales efforts, set and measure targets and empower the team to exceed expectations. You will build relationships within the community to support the region’s growth.
  • Administration. This is a busy storefront with customers and a warehouse supporting shipping and receiving. You will develop strategies to improve individual customer acquisitions and retention continually. You will manage and report on all facets of the business, completing month-end, quarterly and yearly reporting. You will analyze data and critically assess your business to accurately forecast revenue levels and establish appropriate targets to achieve committed goals. You will review, develop and implement procedures that enhance the internal staff and the client experience.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Education and experience. You have a degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution and 5+ years of progressive experience in a retail or branch environment leading up to management. You have experience working in customer-facing roles and leading teams. You have direct sales management experience. Distribution centre or warehouse environment exposure is an asset.
  • A collaborative management style. You have robust people leadership skills. You know how to motivate and inspire a team. You believe in working alongside your team, pitching in where needed. You have exposure to the end-to-end recruitment process, with business and financial acumen including inventory control and experience in managing all facets of a company – administration, finance, HR, marketing, sales, and operations.
  • Interpersonal skills. You love building and fostering relationships with internal and external clients. You have flexible and effective communication skills, and you are comfortable on the phone, in person or by email.
  • Flexibility and organization. You can prioritize, manage and organize a myriad of stakeholder demands and tasks as they come up throughout the day, be it from leadership, clients or other team members.
  • Technical Skills. You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and are comfortable working on a computer navigating various software and databases. Experience with Excel would be considered an asset.
  • Additional must-have requirements. You have a clean criminal background check.

If you would like to learn more or apply for this role, please submit your resume and qualifications here.

Our client is committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment where employees feel valued and respected, and where every employee has the opportunity to realize their potential. They are committed to providing reasonable accommodations, if required, and will work with you to meet your needs.
