Stocktake Assistant - (Greater Perth region)

We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic people for Stocktake Assistant positions that provide support across all Woolworths business units​ around the greater Perth Area.
This exciting role involves you attending a different Woolworths owned site every shift, where you will count the stock at each location. This is done by physically counting each item and then entering it into a handheld PDA. Whilst the day does go fairly quickly, you will be on your feet for most of the day.
Although this is a casual role, there is generally regular work commencing at 6:00-6:30am from Monday to Wednesday with approximately 20 hours per week. There may also be some shifts scheduled on Thursdays. The team work approx 44 wks per year with no stocktakes in the lead up to Christmas and the week either side of Easter. You are able to source work during these times within Supermarkets. There is an attractive remuneration package with a highly competitive rate of pay, kilometre and travel time allowances, superannuation and staff discount card. The finishing time is flexible, as the team must stay until the count has finished, depending on the size of the store.
As part of the Stocktake Assistants role, you will get the opportunity to travel around WA to some of our regional centres. This will include being away from home for approximately 4 nights per month where you will enjoy coach driven transport, comfortable twin share accommodation with catered breakfasts and dinners, and a wonderful team environment. You must also possess a vehicle and current licence to transport yourself around the Perth Metro area, ranging anywhere from Yanchep to Mandurah.
Key responsibilities include:
â— Accurately counting of stock to company specified guidelines, time frames and targets.
â— Working cooperatively in an engaging and productive team environment.
â— Abiding by company policies and procedures in relation to Occupational Health and Safety
(OH&S) and Food Safety to ensure a safe working environment for customers, team members and contractors
â— Ensuring customers are served in a friendly and efficient manner
To be considered for this role you need to be able to meet the following criteria:
◠Demonstrate competent​ written and verbal communication skills with a sound mathematical ability
â— Hold a current driver's licence and have access to your own vehicle
â— Maintain a reliable attendance record and strong work ethic
â— Perform repetitive tasks
â— Portray a positive attitude
â— Abide by company policies and procedures at all times including standard of dress
â— Availability to work a flexible casual roster from Monday to Friday (the majority of shifts would be from 6am starts however some evenings and late nights may be required)
â— Ability to periodically travel on trips away for up to four nights, staying in twin share accommodation at the expense of Woolworths
â— Communicate effectively with customers and team members
â— Work in a fast-paced team environment
