Our client a large global services company based in north GTA has a great opportunity for an Accountant to join their Finance Team here in the GTA.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform day-to-day transactional duties relating to Accounts Receivable, Cash and Accounts Payable.
• Compile and review data for input into project costing documents to be submitted to management.
• Complete month-end closing duties including journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed to support the accounting function.
• Complete remittances for GST/PST.
• Perform other job-related tasks and special projects as assigned.

 Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA designated or actively pursuing
• 5+ years of relevant experience in full-cycle accounting.
• Strong background will be candidates coming from manufacturing, construction and project cost based environments
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office products.
• Effective time management with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
• Strong organizational, communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience utilizing ERP systems.
• Ability to compile, analyze and interpret data.
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
