The Vision Statement is 'Nurses and Midwives at St George hospital are always compassionate and competent in the delivery of excellent patient and family centered care'. Eight core behaviours were identified as being integral to achieving the vision:team player, caring, respectful, honest, advocate, collaborative, considerate and accountable. The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) provides coordination, delivery and evaluation of clinical nurse education (including programs) at the ward/unit level. Such education may include orientation and/or transitioning for new nursing staff, undergraduate and casual nurses as well as meeting the ongoing educational needs of existing nursing staff. Provide clinical supervision at the point of care within everyday clinical practice, in line with the ANMC Decision Making Frameworks for Nurses/Midwives.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available.
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
Holds a relevant clinical or education post registration qualification or 3 years clinical experience in the field.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of teaching and learning in the health care environment (adult learning principles).
Demonstrated clinical teaching & facilitation skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of competency attainment and assessment.
Computer literacy and understanding of hospital information systems.
Demonstrated recent education experience in an acute care facility.
