We are looking for a Safety Manager to drive change and lead a high performing team. 

Role Responsibility

The role is responsible for the advisory and assurance services provided by the Safety Advisors. You will be driving high standards and consistency of service to the organisation whilst also keeping a look at future risks to ensure the team remain current and relevant for the BBC.

The Safety Manager will oversee and manage how the BBC Safety Team support the BBC, and quality assure the service provided. The role will require you to have a good understanding of the whole organisation and its values, objectives and challenges so that you are able to ensure the safety service is fit for purpose. The role will also be responsible for driving continual improvement in the safety services including the Advice Line, A-Z Guidance, Policy and Out of Hours support.

You will be a key player in supporting the Head of Safety in delivering the strategy for BBC Safety and driving projects that form the priorities of the strategy.

Are you the right candidate?

We are looking for someone who can motivate a team and drive a best in class 2nd line safety function. You'll need to be knowledgeable of safety managements systems and developing ways of working that enable the team to provide a fantastic safety service to the BBC.

As this role involves continually improving our processes and managing change, we are looking for previous experience of delivering change particularly within a central service team.
