The Azure Customer + Partner Engineering team (Azure CPE) is responsible for customer and partner engineering engagements across Microsoft Cloud investments including Azure Edge + Platform and Azure Arc enabled infrastructure and services.  Products and technologies included span Windows Server, Azure Stack Family, Azure Arc, Edge Zones, Azure Percept, Windows IoT, AI/ML, and Azure IoT.  In addition to early customer engagements, the team is responsible for working with the Hardware ecosystem to deliver high quality devices, systems, and solutions that provide the greatest value for our customers.  These solutions enable our customers to adopt hybrid scenarios that leverage the power of Azure to enhance their edge and on-premises experiences and capabilities.  Quality and reliability of these solutions supporting our hybrid platforms is required.

We are looking for a full stack developer who can work on solutions offerings that aims to reduce the complexity of connecting and managing intelligent edge solutions. We work closely with our device partners to jointly develop solutions to differentiate and accelerate their hardware platforms adoption with Microsoft solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in customer/partner-facing roles and success in leading in-depth technical engagements which may include architecture discussions with senior customer executives, architects, and hands-on engineering enablement for edge solutions.

• Continuously improving our ability to deliver quality solutions through evolving our engineering process and technical capabilities 
• Deliver continuous improvements to the team’s process and codebase.
• Build automation to prevent and/or test solution for problems.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development
• 2+ years of programming experience in C#, TypeScript, Java, or Golang
• 2+ years of cloud development experience, micro services, K8s
• Great written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Commitment to collaboration and teamwork and ability to deliver via influence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
• Proven skills in technical design, problem solving, and debugging
• Experience working with multi-threaded, asynchronous, and systems programming
• Experience working with Containers, Container orchestrators and/or Container Runtimes.
• Development experience in Linux is a plus
• Solid understanding of distributed systems principles
