Responsibilities

We are looking for a seasoned, technically strong, hands-on Senior Software Engineer and someone who is interested in building the next generation of OCR and document understanding service for both cloud and on-prem services.

Key responsibilities include: 

• Drive architectural and design improvement with a focus on continuous improvement for Azure Form Recognizer services. 
• Develop testing, evaluation, automation frameworks and telemetry data to measure our products’ performance and guarantee quality. 

• Collaborate with groups across Microsoft to create innovative products and solutions with custom focused lens. 

Qualifications

• B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related fields 
• 6+ years of commercial software development and engineering covering all stages of the product/service lifecycle. 
• Back-end development with deep expert knowledge on one or more of the following: Azure/GoogleCloud/AWS infrastructure and services, C#/Python, REST, container technology. 

• Strong communication, collaboration and tech lead skills with deep desire to solve problems with groups, find win/win solutions and celebrate success. 
• Ability to make technical assessment for decision making and project prioritization and translate abstract business requirement to technical development story. 
• Great problem solving, coding and design skills, with demonstrated passion for quality, performance, and engineering excellence. 
• Knowledge and passion for agile development practices, including continuous integration/Continuous deployment (CI/CD), DevOps, and test-driven development.
