Sr. Program Manager

 

The Role:

The Silicon Development Group at AMD is seeking a Sr. Program Manager. We are seeking a candidate with a validated IP Design background. You will work directly with Directors and Managers to ensure high-quality, timely IP delivery. The IP is used in all AMD SoC’s and will be used to provide I/O and connectivity with AMD products

 

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical/problem-solving skills and pronounced attention to details. Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion! Do you have the background and skills we are looking for?

 

Key Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

  • Build plans for IP development
  • Establish requirements and landmarks
  • Supervise development progress
  • Set schedules
  • Establish metrics
  • Implement change control processes
  • Coordinate with SOC
  • Coordinate executive meetings
  • Drive post-Si activities
  • Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned
  • Handle 3rd party IP

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiar with I/O standards
  • IP design background
  • Power Point, Excel (Pivot Tables, Lava Charts)
  • SoC microarchitecture IP Design experience
  • SerDes Experience
  • Microarchitecture
  • Verilog / RTL
  • Good negotiating skills
  • Good organizational and communication skills

 

Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelor or Masters in Electrical Engineering
  • PMP Certification is a plus

Austin, TX
