Our Private Brands offer customers outstanding quality, at great prices and we are looking for a PMT to join the Private Brands Catalog Quality team, to deliver new experiences that will help customers globally discover our Private Brands products.
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Manager Technical (PMT), focusing on product catalog localization (i.e. converting and translating information shown to customers on Detail Pages in each country and used by other Amazon systems globally). This role is critical to serving our worldwide customers, as well as enabling our global expansion.
You will be responsible for the localization of our Private Brand products, establishing scalable processes and systems to make our products globally available, discoverable and captivating to our customers.
A successful candidate will be customer-obsessed and highly analytical, have a passion for inventing, love thinking about new products and technologies, and be adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple solutions.
You will have experience coordinating diverse sets of stakeholders over large geographic distances and various communication styles to drive growth for your business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Understanding the impact of localization on the various business processes and customer experiences, and optimizing localization configurations to meet business demands.
· Identifying process/system defects, deep diving root causes and developing short-term and long-term solutions.
· Developing strong technical understanding of catalog, Localization, ordering and other systems to propose sound long term solutions.
· Lead the definition, design and construction of features that delight consumers
· Work closely and collaboratively with engineering teams and partner organizations to track status of inflight projects, communicate to stakeholders and manage product rollout
· Define creative, high quality, simple product roadmaps based on team strategy and vision
· Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product or solution
· Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, and resource
· Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
· Throughout, you will internalize Amazon’s Leadership Principles, and live those into everyday practices to guide your programs to success.
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, math, economics or related fields
· Established experience in technical product management or consulting experience in technology focused business
· Experience with end to end product delivery
· Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
· Strong relationships building skills; experience managing stakeholders and partners to drive cross functional programs
· Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
· Ability to provide architectural guidance and direction, strong judgment especially relevant in balancing long term strategic investments with near term business goals
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing different functional groups, developers and senior business leader
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations and to drive actions
· MBA or Master’s degree
· Prior experience managing technical products or online services
· Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview,QuickSight
· Experience working in international markets and managing global stakeholders
· Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
· Experience in delivering Amazon-scale systems
· Experience with technologies like Hadoop, Rules based systems and Machine learning
