What the role is all about: *
You will work closely with the Team Lead, Sport Manager, Administrative Coordinator, and Sport Administration to ensure the effective running of the BNC, PTC, and Icehouse, providing our clients with first-class service for all their needs and requirements. The Sport Services Assistant ensures also guests have a seamless service experience from start to finish.
You will provide administrative assistance to support the effective management of the BNC, PTC, Icehouse, and Sport Operations departments, as needed.

Responsibilities*
- BNTC/PTC/Icehouse reception desk duties include answering telephones, assisting guests and athletes, membership sales, and other reception functions including distribution of incoming/outgoing mail and faxes
- Clean all weight room equipment during shift and ensure all weight equipment is replaced to the correct location
- Clean rentable facilities pre/post use by both internal and external users
- Maintain cleanliness of the change rooms in the Performance Training Centre and Bob Niven Training Centre
- Ensure that all persons entering the building have active memberships and register at reception
- Provide accurate information on the Park and products
- Monitor the central email accounts, action booking requests, cancellations, or answer queries
- Collect fees and ensure space booked by internal/external groups is properly prepared.
- Monitoring the icehouse timing system to ensure it is working effectively, resetting as required
- Compiling statistical data for icehouse use on a weekly basis, and assisting with data tracking for Sport Operations and the Academy, as assigned.
- Assist in any other projects, tasks, and assignments requested by Team Lead.
- Demonstrate a safe work practice at all times by adhering to all WinSport safety policy and procedures and ensuring one’s own safety is preserved along with the safety of co-workers, direct reports, and WinSport guests

Qualifications*
- Mature, enthusiastic, guest service-oriented individual with excellent verbal and written communication
- Previous fitness center experience is considered an asset
- Currently enrolled in a health/Kinesiology or Physical Education Program is beneficial
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and exceptional phone etiquette
- Able to handle conflict and make independent decisions
- Demonstrate solid listening and organizational skills with solid problem-solving abilities
- Ability to Multi-Task
- Confident public speaking
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office products
- Strong aptitude and a positive ‘’can do’’ attitude
- Ability to speak a second language would be considered an asset

Work Conditions: *
- Office environment with some bending, lifting, and cleaning duties
- Lifting & replacing gym equipment
- Evening and weekend work required
