ABI Rehabilitation is the lead provider of intensive in-patient brain injury rehabilitation in New Zealand, serving 18 of the 20 DHBs. We are the only provider in Australasia to have attained CARF Accreditation, an international gold standard for person-centred, quality rehabilitation.
A full time, permanent position has become available to join our progressive inter-professional team. This role will involve providing speech and language therapy services in the Inpatient and Community (Out-patient) services – covering the immediate post-acute stage through to community re-integration and Outpatient phase.
We are seeking a NZ Registered Speech and Language Therapist with a minimum of two years’ experience; working in neurological rehabilitation is preferred, however, open to all candidates based on experience. You will work alongside experienced SLTs, and contribute to key clinical areas including:
Knowledge in cognitive-communication disorders, dysphagia, aphasia, dysarthria, augmentative-alternative communication devices, and cognitive rehabilitation is required. Having tracheostomy management experience would be an advantage, but not essential. Previous experience in acquired brain injury rehabilitation is highly preferred.
