About IT at TfNSW 

TfNSW’s IT group provides the tools, information and services that enable 30,000 employees to deliver a smart and efficient transport network. The opportunity

Right now, we have an opportunity for a Specialist Test Analyst to act as key contributor to the adoption of Transport IT Strategy. In this role you will be responsible for test planning, execution and reporting of the cyber security enhancements, technologies and solutions under the Cyber Defence Portfolio – Testing stream to ensure the overall testing effort is effective. 

Your key accountabilities are to:

Review design documentation, work with Business representatives and project teams to prepare test objective matrices, test scripts, test cases and test data for system & system integration testing as required.

Develop Project Test Plans, execute Testing and create Test Summary Reports.

Provide regular progress reports to CDP Testing Stream Lead and participate in reviews and group meetings to identify areas of improvement for testing within Cyber Defence.

About you 

You are an experienced Test Analyst that has a background in testing IT or Cyber Solutions. You will be aware of Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) Essential Eight cyber security controls and have recent experience with testing of Functional / Non-Functional requirements.  Hands-on experience using Jira (essential), Microsoft security and compliance tools and Splunk or ServiceNow tools (highly desirable). Performance / automation testing would be an added advantage.

Having Hands-on testing experience with any Microsoft Cyber Security & Compliance products will be an added advantage to your application.

You will have experience with test case development & execution and the use of test management toolsets with modules for requirements, test plans, test laboratories & defects modules. You will be skilled in operating autonomously, efficient in creating and presenting key quality test deliverables, communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, demonstrate a great work ethic, feel confident on prioritising issues and will be able to deal with complex matters by liaising with stakeholders to work together on solutions.

Salary and benefits 

The salary for this position is a Grade 9A ($135,898) – 9E ($152,204) per annum, plus superannuation and leave loading.
