About the role and who we are looking for :

We are looking for a Permanent Full-time , enthusiastic, competent and reliable Sous Chef to work at our site (Forsyth Barr Stadium) in Dunedin .

This is a busy site, so a high degree of flexibility regarding shifts will be required. You will also be working with the Executive Chef at the Forsyth Barr Stadium and Dunedin Plaza Café.

What will you be doing?

In this position you must be able to follow recipes, have some ideas of your own, have attention to detail and work with speed.

You will be working as a team and must be capable to follow directions but must also be able to lead a team as well. We are a team of 25 with around 10 people working daily, however there will be times that you will take sole charge of smaller functions.

We have a great team environment and enjoy a laugh while producing food that we are proud of.

If you're our perfect candidate you will be hard working, reliable and flexible in your ability to work, as well as having a friendly, outgoing personality, excellent communication skills and a 'can do' attitude.

Ideally you will already have some experience working in a similar position and hold food safety Unit Standard 167, but most importantly, you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
