Cappadonna cafe is located in the heart of Napier city, surrounded by popular shops, famous Art Deco buildings, and other popular tourist destinations; serving thousands of tourists during the Art Deco Festival and on cruise ships' arrival days. 

We are looking for a cafe cook or assistant cook to help in the kitchen, working along with the head chef to produce high-quality foods for our customers. This is a permanent full-time position, working 4-5 days a week. Part-time or fewer hours are also negotiable. The operation hours of the shop are from 7 am to 5 pm. 

About this role:

• Prepare, present and fill the cabinet;
• Assist the head chef to produce quality, appetizing food at high quantities;
• Work well as part of a team as well as follow instructions;
• Keep the kitchen and working areas clean and organized;
• Order stock;
• Sole charge on head chef's days off;

The successful candidate:

• Having experience in a busy commercial kitchen environment doesn't need to be a qualified chef;
• Remains calm under pressure and works well within a team environment;
• Be a person who likes being busy and working hard;
• Has great communication and customer service skills
