The Vacancy

We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to join our IT Strategy & Architecture team as a Solutions Architect with a mixture of remote working and being in our Support Centre in Worksop.

As a Solutions Architect you’ll proactively lead activities that guide the development and management of a portfolio of solutions.  Solutions include projects, systems (including application, technologies, processes and information), shared infrastructure service and shared application services. You’ll act as a subject matter expert on technology in respect to its role in solutions architecture and how it supports the wider business function.

Taking huge pride in what you do, your role will involve producing solution design documentation, design patterns/artefacts and support the production of associated requirements, business case and project plans. You’ll support and contribute to the professionalisation of enterprise architecture within the business. Along with:

• Influencing all aspects of technology strategy, roadmap and relevant strategic solutions, identifying strategic decision points & generating business cases for investment.

• Delivering quality solutions architecture services to support to internal change initiatives and transformational activities.
• Supporting the management of IT 3rd party relationships.
• Supporting governance processes associated with business and technology change and providing design authority oversight.

For this role we need someone who has a minimum of 3 years’ experience performing at a senior level within a data, application or data architecture domain environment. Someone who has the knowledge of TOGAF or other similar enterprise architecture methodologies, with the experience of microservices or API management. You’ll be an expert in technology design, analysis, business cases and developing business cases to support transformational activities. With a good working knowledge of IT security standards and legislation and the ability to combine business technology solutions design to support transformational development activities.
